Drop us a note about the podcast.

America can feel like Psalm 119 sounds: worn out, eyes straining for promises to come true, asking “How long?” while everything around us pulls toward despair. We start there, reading Psalm 119:81-96, and sit in the tension it names so well: the faithful can be exhausted and still obedient, pressured and still hopeful, targeted and still anchored in God’s word.

From that foundation, we move through Hebrews 13:4 and the practical call to honor marriage and sexual purity, then spend extended time in John 17 as Jesus prays for His people. We talk about truth as something God gives, not something culture votes on, and about unity that comes from holiness, not from pretending differences do not exist. Along the way we pray for leaders in church and government, for families, and for the courage to fear the Lord and avoid evil.

Then we turn outward to the state of the nation: headlines that expose moral collapse, debates over immigration and assimilation, and the deeper question of what a country is for if God gives it more time. We revisit early American history with Fisher Ames, the Establishment Clause, the argument for Bible-based public education, and the story of the Aitken Bible of 1782 to ask whether we have been told the truth about America’s roots and responsibilities.

Prayer For Leaders And Families

SPEAKER_00

Father, thank you for today. Thank you for you, Father, and your son Jesus Christ and your Holy Spirit. Uh, thank you for your love and your mercy, your grace and your forgiveness of sins through the merit of your son Jesus Christ. Uh thank you, Father, for the people that you put in our lives. Thank you for those who have gone before us. Thank you for those who sacrifice so much to keep us safe, to keep us free, to maintain liberty here in America. Our military firefighters, law enforcement, EMF, please keep them safe. Thank you for their sacrifices. Help us to never take them for granted. Much like the sacrifice of your son Jesus Christ, Father, help us to not take it for granted. Help us to truly love him, to truly follow his commands, to love you with our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength to love our neighbors as ourselves. Be with our leaders here in America and in the nations around the world where people are listening, both in the pulpit and in the state. Give them wisdom and courage and a strong faith. Help them to lead and rule in fear of you. Forgive us our sins, Father. Forgive us when we turn away from you, when we stray off the narrow path. Please bring us back. Bring us home to you. And God, my words here, Father. And be with those listening on the podcast, Father, their families, their marriages, their children, their nation. Your son's name we pray. Amen.

Marriage Honor And Moral Accountability

SPEAKER_00

Marriage verse for today, Hebrews 13, 4. Marriage should be honored by all in the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and the sexually immoral.

John 17 And Christ’s Prayer

SPEAKER_00

John 17, starting with verse 1. After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son. So he can give glory back to you, for you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life. To know you, the only true God. And Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you. For I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me. My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you. All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me. So they bring me glory. Now I am departing from the world. They are staying in this world. But I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name. Now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are. During my time here I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction destruction, as the Scriptures foretold. Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world, so that they would be filled with joy, with my joy. I have given them your word, and the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth, teach them your word which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world, and I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them, so they can be made holy by your truth. I am praying not only for these disciples, but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will be all be one, just as you and I are one, as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us, so that the world will believe you sent me. I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me, and that you love them as much as you love me. Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began. O righteous Father, the world doesn't know you, but I do. And these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.

Psalm 119 Applied To America

SPEAKER_00

Psalm 119, 81 through 96, Calf. I am worn out waiting for your rescue. But I have put my hope in your word, my eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me? I am shriveled like a wineskin in the smoke. But I have not forgotten to obey your decrees. How long must I wait? When will you punish those who persecute me? These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me. All your commands are trustworthy. Protect me from those who hunt me down without cause. They almost finished me off, but I refuse to abandon your commandments. In your unfailing love, spare my life, then I can continue to obey your laws. I think that last verse there, folks, 88, really sums up America today. In your unfailing love, spare my life, then I can continue to obey your laws. If God grants us an extension on life here in America, if we're not already through and just in the death throes, right? The reason that we're going to get an extension is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to people that don't know it. Here in America, around the world, the reason is to save more lost souls in whatever time God gives us. It's not so we can get more money for ourselves, more cars, bigger houses, more land, whatever it is, more power, wealth, right? It's not for our own pride and glory, and because we're so awesome. It is to do God's will, to obey his commands, to save as many of the lost as we can for as long as he gives us. Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created. Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans. If your instructions had sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery. I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life. I am yours, rescue me, for I have worked hard at obeying your commandments. Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws. Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit.

Proverbs On Fear Of The Lord

SPEAKER_00

Proverbs sixteen, six and seven. Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the Lord people avoid evil. When people's lives please the Lord, even their enemies are at peace with them. Father, help us to fear you. Help us to avoid evil.

Immigration And Cultural Consequences

SPEAKER_00

Nottinghamshire, UK, Sutton and Asheville. Shiraz Malik raped an eighteen-year-old woman. He was a Pakistani Muslim asylum seeker. Sutton Lawn Park. Twenty-nine-year-old Muslim born in Pakistan, had lived in France, Germany, and Italy before arriving in the UK.

SPEAKER_01

The victim was drunk and out at night.

SPEAKER_00

She was first raped by another unidentified man with Malik, and then raped by Malik.

SPEAKER_01

He showed no remorse and claimed consent, which was rejected by the jury.

SPEAKER_00

Supporting illegal immigration and Muslim immigration. And there's no such thing as a moderate Muslim. Or or really an extremist Muslim for that matter. Right? Not long term. It's built in. The extremism is built in to Islam and leftism. It's just part of it. And so in a sense, it's it's not extreme, because that's the whole majority.

Immigrant Service And Love Of Country

SPEAKER_00

Fort Hindman, Arkansas. Served on board the U.SS. Louisville, Louisville, carrying out his duties through the thick of battle and acting as captain of a nine-inch gun. Burns consistently showed attention to duty, bravery, and coolness in action against the enemy. That's pretty interesting, isn't it, right? U.S. Navy in Arkansas. Accredited to New York, not awarded posthumously born 1838 in Ireland. Died February 9th, 1882, New York City, buried Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York. Again, folks, you'd have to pay attention to these when the immigrant status born in Ireland, Europe. And it's not that these guys were perfect, right? It's not uh serving in the Marine Corps. I love the Marine Corps. I love Marines. I'm biased, but I they're all Marines are not even close to perfect, folks. But it's still the willingness to serve, to risk your life, to give to the country, to defend it, to preserve liberty for future generations. That is not even remotely what we see today with mass Muslim and illegal immigration. And you have to pay attention to that. That's a valid factor.

Fisher Ames On Bible In Schools

SPEAKER_00

I want to go back and read this quote by Fisher Ames again just because it's it's so ironic that the man who wrote who worded the establishment clause in the First Amendment, right? The whole separation of church and state nonsense that the Supreme Court back in 1947 completely twisted. But the guy who actually talked about this, Fisher Ames, this is his quote. We have a dangerous trend beginning to take place in our education. We're starting to put more and more textbooks into our schools. We become accustomed of late of putting little books into the hands of children containing fables and moral lessons. We are spending less time in the classroom on the Bible, which should be the principal text of our schools. The Bible states these great moral lessons better than any other man-made book. Folks, when people tell you that public education in the United States should not be based on God and Jesus Christ in the Bible, they either don't know what they're talking about, or they are purposefully not telling the truth. I mean, this is Fisher Ames. This is the founding father that literally worded the establishment clause. And he's saying the Bible not only should be a textbook, he's saying it should be the primary, the principal textbook in our schools. There is no education of any form in the United States of America that should get a single penny of taxpayer money if it is not centered around God and the Bible and Jesus Christ.

The Aitken Bible And A Bible Nation

SPEAKER_00

Little note here, we've talked about this often. Robert Aitken in Philadelphia. But if I remember right, I don't think that we'd actually done it or that there were some problems there, right? But Aitken got approval. And the first printing of the English Bible in 1782 is what was called the Bible of the Revolution. And that was. But you see that the Congress was involved here. And maybe we'll come back and talk about this a little bit more. This is a quote by W. P. Strickland, uh American historian, talking about this Bible publication, this 8Ken Bible or the Bible of the Revolution that was published in 1782. Who, in view of this fact, will call in question the assertion that this is a Bible nation, who will charge the government with indifference to religion. When the first Congress of the States assumed all the rights and performed all the duties of a Bible society long before such an institution had an existence in the world. So our Congress, political body, at the beginning of our nation served as a Bible society. They wanted the Bible printed, they wanted it available for people, write their own comment. The use of the Bible is so universal and its importance is so great. We have been sold a pack of lies, folks. We're not a secular nation, we're not a deist nation, we're not a pagan Roman republic. We are a Christian republic, and we can only function as such, and the only hope we have is getting back to that.

Lord’s Prayer And Closing Blessing

SPEAKER_00

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the stay our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not to temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. God bless y'all. God bless your families, your marriages, if you're married, your kids, if you have them, your nation, wherever you are around the world listening. God bless America. We'll talk to you all again real soon, folks. Looking forward to it.
